This month’s design features the Dwarf Mongoose. No worries — they are not endangered. Many of you might be familiar with mongooses that stand upright to keep watch — like the one in The Lion King.
The dwarf mongoose belongs to the same family but looks quite different. Their thick fur, ranging from dark brown to grey, makes them look a bit like a possum or a baby bear.
I first noticed a dwarf mongoose pup in a documentary — their cuteness instantly caught my eye. I’m sure you’ll feel the same.

When a dwarf mongoose pup stands upright, its tiny feet are the cutest — so short!
I’ve always loved the balance between olive green and vintage blue.
It may look like a love scene, but it’s just two dwarf mongoose pups at play. :)
Look at their claws — they’re longer and sharper than I expected.
It means “Please save the dwarf mongoose” in Korean.
This pattern is so in right now. XD
This is the least minimal design I’ve created. The baby dwarf mongoose is holding the cell it was born from. I wanted to capture the wonder of that first moment of life.
This is my favorite design.
It shows a baby dwarf mongoose resting on its mother —
a perfectly peaceful moment I loved.
An early design, with a focus on minimal elements.
MINIMAL.
that was my goal.
This design,
too.
I'm using this phone case right now.
People don’t realize how tall dwarf mongooses look when they stand up.
I went for a deep green background. :)
It’s true. The dwarf mongoose is Africa’s tiniest predator — feeding on insects, reptiles, and small mammals.
mom and baby hug — it always makes me smile. Hope it brings you a smile, too.
Three dwarf mongooses, side by side, supporting each other.
Their social nature often reminds me of how people need connection, too.
